While studying molecular biology and genetics in Ankara, Begüm Erciyas was involved in various dance projects in Turkey and became part of [laboratuar], a performing arts research and project group.
After university, she studied at Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Austria. In 2006, she received the DanceWeb scholarship. Since then Begüm Erciyas has been an active member of Sweet and Tender Collaborations, taking part in several collaborative and collective projects and meetings.
She received a 9-month Fellowship at Akademie Schloß Solitude 2007/08, and afterwards was supported and presented by venues and programs, such as WorkSpace Brussels, K3-Tanzplan Hamburg, SommerSzene Salzburg, Kampnagel Hamburg, iDANS Istanbul, LOOPING, PACT Zollverein. At the moment she is living and working in Berlin.

RESIDENCIES 2011: Studio Québec (Catherine Gaudet) |

Catherine Gaudet completed her university-level diploma in contemporary dance at the University of Québec in Montréal as well as her professional certificate in dance (maîtrise) at the same institution.
In 2010 she was a recipient of the David Kulburn Prize of the Fondation de l'UQAM, granted to a young choreographer. She worked for an extended period as a performer with the choreographers Jean-Sébastien Lourdais, Marie-Josée Lareau, Marie Béland and Anne Thériault. She is currently participating in the project l’Abécédaire du corps dansant, directed by the professor Andrée Martin, as a performer and assistant researcher.
In 2001 and 2007 she spent time perfecting her choreographic art with residencies in Balinese theaters in Indonesia ; this confirmed her interest in dramatic bodies and the use of the latter as a transmitter for an existential experience.
In 2004 she started a personal choreographic research; in this year she created bibi et juju. Grosse Fatigue followed in 2005, l’Arnaque in 2006, Alex Lalune (a dance and theater piece for children) in 2007 and Sourire forcé in 2008-2009.
In 2008 she participated in the Aarhus International Choreography Competition at the Archauz choreographic center, in Denmark, where she was granted second prize for her piece Grosse Fatigue.
In 2009, after a summer residency at Studio 303, she completed her latest creation, L’invasion du vide. The piece was presented at the Archauz choreographic center in Denmark, as well as at Tangente, and was selected as one of the five best pieces of dance in the past year by the magazine VOIR. In 2009, Catherine was chosen to take part in a choreographic internship at Montréal Danse.

In 2010 she participated as an invited choreographer for the IN LIMBO event directed by Lynda Gaudreau, in the course of which she created the piece Anne Gaudet in collaboration with the choreographer Anne Thériault.
In December 2010 she attended a creative residency at La Bellone, in Brussels, in the company of directors, actors and dramaturges. The multi-disciplinary production initiated at this residency will be presented in the course of the 2013-14 season in Belgium.

Franco-Swiss dancer and choreographer Perrine Valli works with the choreographers Estelle Héritier and Cindy Van Acker, for whom she dances in several pieces. In 2005, she created her own company, the Association Sam-Hester, and also her first piece, Ma cabane au Canada.
In 2006, she received a three-year residency at the multi-disciplinary Centre Mains d’Oeuvres in Paris, and finished her second piece, Série. Created in collaboration with musician Colleen, the piece was presented in Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain, where it won first prize at the Masdanza international choreography contest.

In 2009, she created her third piece, Je pense comme une fille enlève sa robe, for the festival Faits d’Hiver in Paris and the Théâtre de l’Usine in Geneva. This piece was presented at Super Deluxe in Tokyo where Perrine Valli received a research grant from CulturesFrance Hors les murs for a 4-month residency.
Her new piece Je ne vois pas la femme cachée dans la forêt won second prize at the Premio choreography contest. It was created at Mains d’Oeuvres (Paris) and ADC-Geneva in November 2010.
